About Chris

Hi, I'm Chris, 25 year old male, living in London. Through this blog I am going to share my interests, views and thoughts with you all, hopefully on a daily basis! I am interested in reading (biographies, business books), music (hip hop, soul, r&b) and sport (football aka soccer, tennis, swimming and gym). In terms of work I am a marketing professional working for a large, famous, global brand. If you have any questions or comments at all feel free to get in touch!

Racism in Munich

I felt the need to write something on this blog after a long lack of attention. The reason? Well, what I perceived as racism in Munich, Germany.
This was a friends stag weekend and amongst the group were a couple of black guys. Firstly, hardly any bars or clubs would allow English people, even in small groups, into the bars. This was a mindless thing and I can’t quite rationalise it in my brain.
Secondly, the black members of our group were the only people on a couple of occassions who were not allowed into bars we got into. How can our whole group be allowed in apart from the black people? I will name one of the places, a rather Ropey bar called Americanos and Q Club at Kultfabrik

I have friends who are German and certainly have no issue with Germany or the people. I am purely sharing my experience and utter shock at what I saw as racism from these clubs and discriminating based on nationality.

Why is Tulisa on X Factor as a Judge?

I am going to keep this quite short, but really why is Tulisa from N-Dubz a Judge on X Factor? My thinkingis that it’s a bid to keep all of the chavs watching the show.  She has no music or business understanding and can’t even begin to be compared to Kelly Rowland and Gary Barlow.

Let’s see what happens now that she has made a complete hash of things by saying she doesn’t know the song “Think” but Aretha Franklin.

Simon Cowell may have made a mistake putting her on this show.

Great Service but not consistent at Caffe Nero

I am loyal to Caffe Nero and visit their shops 4 or 5 times a week. But their service let me down many times at one of their London coffee shops. So I have now gone to another one in Fulham Road and they have been so good and attentive. It has changed my thoughts based on recent service. So I am now pleased and will likely use this coffee shop more than the other.

Now Caffe Nero just need to make this consistent!

A new track by Nikki Grier and produced by Aftermath’s Dawuan Parker, “Mr Nice Guy” talks positively about a guy. It’s written and performed by Nikki.  Listen to “Mr Nice Guy” by clicking here.

Nikki Grier – Ha Ha (Produced by Dr Dre, Dawaun Parker and Mark Batson)

A new Nikki Grier track, “Ha Ha”, produced by Dr Dre, Dawaun Parker and Mark Batson.  Another great song from Nikki who is working with so many people including Busta Rhymes as well as Dr Dre on his Detox project.

“Ha Ha” is about a former lover.

Cathay Pacific scandal to delay ad campaign

Cathay Pacific will delay a global marketing campaign, due to photographs of crew members allegedly engaging in a sexual act being published.

The airline was due to launch the campaign in September and the tagline was “meet the team who go the extra mile to make you feel special”.
