Olympic Legacy Proven at Anniversary Games in London

I was fortunate enough to receive a ticket for the Friday (26 July) Diamond League Athletics meet at the Olympic stadium in London.

It was great to be back at the Olympic stadium almost a year after I attended various events at the Olympics and Paralympics.

Of course I saw Usain Bolt win the 100m, Shakes-Drayton come 2nd in the 400m hurdles.

However the best race of the evening for me was the 4 x 100m womens event which was won by Great Britain. Ashleigh Nelson stormed home on the anchor leg to ensure a fairly comfortable win.  It was Great Britain’s fastest 4 x 100m performance in 12 years (42.69 seconds)

Now I am looking forward to the coverage of the World Championships in August.
