I was extremely fortunate and privileged to be invited and to attend the UK premiere of The Wolverine at Empire in Leicester Sq on Tuesday night. What a great experience.
Audi had very good brand and product integration in the film; this of course meant the A list cast all turned up in these high end Audi’s including Hugh Jackman driving onto the red carpet in an Audi R8.
The walk down the red carpet next to all of the stars was a surreal experience, similar to when I attended the Grammy Awards in 2011.
Once in and seated a speech was given by the film director as well as Hugh Jackman which was extremely humbling to hear from someone who really does care about others.
The film itself was superb and interesting to be based in Japan with most of the cast also Japanese. I was actually really drawn into the film with not much feeling of how supernatural the Wolverine character is until the end of the film.
I watched this film lthe other night on a flight to London, “Couples Retreat” starring Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau, Malin Akerman, Kali Hawk, Kristin Davis, Kristen Bell and Faizon Love.
You know when you are in a very crowded place and careful not to laugh and talk too loud? Well I laughed a lot when watching this without a care (disrespectful as it sounds)! I don’t feel the trailer actually does the film justice.
I watched Sherlock Holmes last night and really did enjoy it. It is a film by Guy Richie that is actually quite different to the normal film that he would direct, apart from the fighting scenes of course.
Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law are an excellent duo as Sherlock Holmes and Watson – very witty, smart, clever, but sometimes stupid (Sherlock in particular). I’ve put the trailer below for you to see!
I posted about the new Paramount Pictures film starring George Clooney “Up in the Air” a few weeks back and it came out in the US in December this year – it’s hitting cinemas in the UK and most of Europe on 15 January 2010.
Whilst I was in the US for work earlier this month I found time to catch the film and I must say it’s excellent, I wasn’t sure what to expect and I won’t say too much, but it is well worth watching!
What’s more, it has been nominated for 6 Golden Globe awards… for…. best motion picture; best performance by an actor (George Clooney); best performance by an actress in a supporting role x two (both Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick); Best Director (Jason Reitman); Best Screenplay (Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner).

A new George Clooney film, Up in the Air, directed by Jason Reitman is being released through Paramount in cinemas at the end of this year (2009), and is based on a book by Walter Kirn. The film is a about a businessman who is a frequent traveller, flys and stays a lot in hotels – in fact pretty much all the time. George Clooney in the film plays a businessman called Ryan Bingham whose ambition is to collect a vast amount of airmiles! The film features brand positioning with partners American Airlines and upscale hotel brand Hilton Hotels.
