Nikki Grier was born and raised in Southern, California.  She was discovered at the age of 12 by legendary record executive Lou Adler,  who is responsible for the success of the Legendary 60’s band “The Mamas and The Papas”. She went on to record and release a gospel album as part of a group on his Ode Records label.

In 2006, Nikki was invited to write at a session with Dr. Dre. That one session turned into Nikki Grier signing with Dr. Dre’s publishing company “Hard Working Black Folks”.  Nikki Grier has written and/or sung lead and background vocals for Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Eminem and countless others. Most recently Nikki Grier wrote a record for Busta Rhymes’ upcoming album which features Mary J. Blige.

 
Nikki Grier’s music is the perfect combination of sex and soul; hence the term “Soulgasm”. She combines hip-hop and soul and delivers it with an element of sensuality. Nikki Grier commands any stage that she walks on; ushering in an era of seduction, love and liberation for every woman.

Nikki is currently working with Busta Rhymes, Kardinal Offishall, Michael Bublé, and Humberto Gatica.  She is also a featured vocalist on the new hit television show “The American Bible Challenge” airing on the Gameshow Network as well the hit CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother”.

Super Bad, Super Cool

I listened today to a really insightful and impactful radio show called “Super Bad, Super Cool”, presented by actress Pam Grier.  Super Bad, Super Cool looks at the impact by black actors, actresses and musicians on 1970’s cinema. Jazz and Soul music genre’s were the big contributors during this era.
